Move over, The Biggest Loser! Dancing with the Stars is fast becoming the best dieting reality program on television. Kirstie Alley and Ricki Lake have both recently shown off their slimmer figures, and now Nancy Grace is joining the club. In a new interview with People, the 51-year-old HLN legal analyst says that she has unintentionally dropped a good amount of weight since joining the most recent season of DWTS.
"I've inadvertently lost 10 lbs. on the I'm-too-tired-to-eat diet," Grace says. "By the time I get the children (3-year-old twins Lucy and John David) ready for school, then practice and then come home, I'm like exhausted."
As a newcomer to the dancing scene, Grace says she feels like a "fish out of water" on the dance floor. Still, she and DWTS pro Tristan MacManus have survived the first round of eliminations, and she says she plans on there being "many, many nights of me dancing on stage" so that her twins can be proud of their mom.
Just because she got to the second round doesn't mean Grace feels any less nervous about the competition, though.
"It's a lot more nerve wracking than trying a murder case," she admits. But Grace says her main goal on the show isn't winning, but rather inspiring others.
"There are a lot of women out there who are like me -- they work all day and take care of their children. And if they are like me, you don't always have the best self-image or are in work mode all the time," she says. "I would like to send the message to them that they can follow their dream and believe, which is hard sometimes."
